If you know where to look, there are many cheaphotel in Asia. Many of these cheaphotel is of the boutique type. One of my favorite is in Phuket Thailand. To be consider a cheaphotel, it must cost less than $100 USD per night. And Phi Phi Village cost less than $80 USD during low season. Phi Phi Village is anything but cheap, it offered a private beach, resort style villa, nice deco, 5 different restaurants, and various activities planned for guests. Of the hotels in phuket, Phi Phi Village is definitely the cheaphotel that's comparable with the many luxury ones on the same island.
